By the mid 1800’s Hebron’s farming economy was on the decline as railroads could transport agricultural products from the Midwest more economically than New England farmers.
As a result, few homes in Hebron were built in a high Victorian style. This small house was built with its gable end to the street, a design that originated in the 1790’s, but the overhang of the roof and column porch add a stylish touch to a traditional design.
